STEM Racing(TM) is an international, project-based challenge in which students work in F1-style teams to design, engineer, manufacture, brand and race on a 20-meter track a miniature compressed-air car. The excitement of competition gives students a meaningful reason to apply classroom STEM knowledge, improving engagement, deepening understanding and supporting higher attainment through practical problem-solving, testing and continuous improvement. Alongside engineering and manufacturing, students take responsibility for project management, finance, sponsorship, branding, marketing, communication and presentation. STEM Racing therefore develops not only technical knowledge, but also creativity, independence, teamwork, leadership and confidence, while helping students discover their own interests, abilities and potential career pathways.
